Let’s face it 2016 was hell of a year with so many incidents and events happening all around the world, not to mention our very own country (India) facing the demonetization issue. Thinking about all this makes you wonder if you could ever travel anywhere at all. But hey don't get bogged down by it all, am sure we can make 2017 an interesting one. What makes it interesting, hmmm well - Its travel. Don't we all like to travel or at least dream about all the places we wish we could be. Well here is a list of places you can actually visit in 2017, considering the political stability and oh the drop in prices.
Here is hoping for a good start for 2017 and a big travel list for all ya people out there who love to dream and dare to fulfil all your dreams.
TOP OF THE LIST: UNITED KINGDOM
We all know that this should be on your travel dream list and now it’s possible to travel here thanks to the drop in currency exchange rate of pound. Pound has fallen tremendously and made travel to this destination a lot more possible than ever before. Yes London would be the reasonable choice but hey there is a lot more to the UK than just London. Visit the Wales, Lake District, Castles and so many more interesting places to see here.
2ND ON THE LIST: MAURITIUS
Known for its amazing and exquisite beaches this destination is like a heaven for honeymooners and leisure travellers. Now the Mauritius Government is all out to promote this beautiful island and now is revamping its image in the tourism market. Promoted for Corporate or Incentive or Wedding this is the new destination to go to now. You can now host you Big Fat Indian weddings at Mauritius with all the fanfare and entertainment that you would otherwise do in India. From mehndi to the wedding oh it about to get a major upgrade in this tropical island.

Dubai is like the Desert Rose. Build up to be a modern city it has so much to offer. Who would think that it was once a desert? No you can’t tell because there are gardens, rivers the palm island and so many activities to do here. Have you heard of the Miracle Garden, if not should visit. This place has got the most beautiful gardens I have seen. They grow approximately a 100 Million flowers here. Also the Desert safari a must have experience which you will treasure for the rest of your life. They have the biggest malls the tallest buildings. It’s a totally awesome place to be.

7TH ON THE LIST: VIETNAM
Vietnam lies on the eastern part of the Indo-Chinese peninsula. This is a place of timeless charm and a place to be, it’s a mix of the old with the new. There is so much to do here like visit the local market, island tours, and wild life tours. If you have to visit few of the cities here you should go to Ho Chi Minh, Ha Long Bay and Hanoi.
8TH ON THE LIST: CHINA
Oh the history of the place is just exciting. The Kung Fu, the martial art forms, the traditional dances, the people, everything here has a rich history behind them. The famous Great Wall of China, Xi’an’s Terracotta warriors, Shanghai’s Bund, and so many more places to see here that even a month won’t do it justice. But my suggestion would be at least visit the famous places and for a minimum of 10 nights. With such a rich culture, tradition and fascinating attractions, no wonder it’s the 3rd most visited country in the world.
9TH ON THE LIST: EGYPT
Aha! Who hasn’t heard of Egypt? Yes it’s the world most ancient civilization and not to mention that it holds one of the 7 wonders of the world – the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Long Nile River has been an ever nurturing source of this civilization and it would be worth the visit specially if you want to plan a Nile cruise here. The food is good too and am sure this should come back on the list this year for all the right reasons.
10TH ON THE LIST: INDONESIA
Bestowed with an abundance of natural beauty, this culturally rich destination is a must visit. You should visit places like Bali, Jakarta, Sumatra and Java. Lots of adventure activities to cover in Bali like white water rafting, village cycling tours, spa treatment and volcano tours to top it all. Not only is it cheap but also once of the beautiful places to see. It’s a must visit.
I could go on and on. The list is endless, but have to keep it short as I want to make sure that the bucket list is completed with an in-depth visit to each destination. You and readers should start planning and don’t let anything hold you back. All these destinations I have mentioned are not only breathtakingly beautiful but also cheap on your pockets, if planned well. So cheers to you all and happy travelling!
